Our member Bill Bird is a master orthopaedic footwear maker and teacher (pictured back left of the photograph).

Bill Bird Shoes is based in Moreton-on-the-Marsh and employs several lifetime members of the Society of Shoe Fitters, all of whom use their mainstream shoe fitting experience to enhance their bespoke shoemaking service.

Bill’s unique skills and forty years’ experience have been captured for posterity allowing them to be shared with an international audience.

A series of films, each one addressing a different medical condition and how an orthopaedic maker would approach creating bespoke footwear for that condition, has been produced and we are delighted to share them with you.
